The Story of "Worth" by my very dear friend

My very dear friend had an inspiring story to share with the hope that it will work for someone as it did for him... Even if it would help atleast one person, it would be enough for him...

A person asked God, "What is the value of my life...?"

God gave a stone in his hand and asked him to go places and find the exact worth of it and "not to sell it at any cost"....

So this guy left on to find out the value of the stone..

At first he meets a fruit merchant and asked him, "What would be the value of the stone?" The merchant replies that he would give him few mangoes in exchange of the diamond...  Remembering the words of God not to sell it, he walks away..

Next, he goes to a vegetable merchant  asking the same and the vegetable merchant replies that he would give 10 kilograms of vegetables instead..  Again remembering he shouldn't sell it, he starts walking to some other place..

Later, he takes the stone to a Jewelry store to enquire the same and the store owner knowing the worth of it offers him 10 crore rupees in return. Listening to his offer that person gets a bit greedy, but doesn't sell remembering the words of God.

Next, he went to a diamond merchant to enquire and in reply the merchant tells him, even if he sell all his property and himself or infact if they would sell entire world, the price would not match the value of the diamond.

Hearing that the person gets shell shocked and returns to God to know the reason behind the happenings..

God replies that each person you reached out valuated the stone according to their standards..
But, the diamond merchant having the knowledge and knowing the value of it, found it priceless..

Similarly, we are also differentiated or evaluated according to the standards of others. But, the people, who know you, would always consider you priceless...

So friends never get disappointed by criticism, trolls or taunts... those are just reflections of their character.
